Hyland Software honors Kiriworks customer, Franciscan Alliance with RealSolutions Award
Organizations are continually searching for ways to do more with less while still improving their business processes. This “do more with less” mentality always finds its way into the world of technology – especially with organizations looking for flexible solutions that they can leverage across the enterprise. At this year’s OnBase Training & Technology Conference, Hyland Software recognized nine customers that are doing just that – leveraging OnBase in innovative and repeatable ways. Kiriworks customer; Franciscan Alliance, Inc., was honored for successfully using OnBase to improve their Accounts Payable process and their strategic approach to enterprise content management (ECM). The Franciscan Alliance health system consists of 14 hospitals in Indiana and Illinois serving a population of 3.7 million people.
At the time of deployment, the system was processing over 150,000 invoices a year across 13 locations by a staff of 24 employees. After centralizing operations into a shared services environment, they were able to reduce the resources required to process the same workload by 37.5% (9 FTE). Beyond just a reduction in resources, Franciscan Alliance has also seen a significant reduction in lost vendor discounts. Combined, these two areas have yielded more than a $1.3 million savings in the first five years of going live with OnBase.
After partnering with Kiriworks, Franciscan Alliance understood that they had an enterprise solution that could serve the entire health system, but knew they had to start small. Starting in Accounts Payable they were able to quickly deploy the solution and immediately show the impact of OnBase and what it could mean for the organization. “Franciscan Alliance is a prime example of what all organizations are looking to do with ECM – gain an impactful ROI and develop a strategic plan for enterprise expansion.
